African Nations Cup Draw in Angola today

The draw for the African Nations Cup is in Angola today, it is set to have the sixteen teams seeded according to their performance in the last three Nations Cup tournaments. The tournament will be played at four new purpose built stadiums in Luanda, Benguela, Cabinda and Lubango.

The Confederation of African Football president, Issa Hayatou will be joined by members of his executive committee and Angola President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos, who will make a rare public appearance, he has been the ruler of this oil-rich country for the past 30 years. It will be conducted at a new convention centre in the purpose-built southern suburb of Talatona.

The defending champions Egypt, hosts Angola, Cameroon and the Ivory Coast will be the top seeds for the four groups, the other 12 teams in the draw are Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Ghana, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Togo, Tunisia and Zambia.
