Argentina reveal 2010 World Cup shirt

Two time World Cup winners Argentina has revealed their new 2010 World Cup shirt that they will wear next summer in South Africa.

The team led by icon Diego Maradona narrowly qualified for the tournament next June after a disruptive qualifying campaign. Maradona, in particular, caused the majority of the controversy with some strange team selections and excluding certain individuals from his squad. However, victory in their final two matches saw Argentina scrape into the final automatic qualifying spot and kept Maradona in a job.

The new Argentina 2010 World Cup shirt contains large light blue and white vertical stripes running throughout the majority of the body and half of the sleeves. The sides of the shirt are mainly light blue and the collar is a white round neck. Manufacturers Adidas place their black logo centrally below the collar whilst the three white traditional stripes run half way down the shoulders. The national badge is situated in the top left of the shirt with two gold stars representing their two World Cup triumphs placed directly above.
