Chelsea Transfer Targets

Although Guus Hiddink has made it clear that come the end of the season he will quit Chelsea and return to Russia to concentrate on his Russian international team, Roman Abramovich has said that he is willing to inject some new players into the Chelsea squad this summer, listening to the advice of Hiddink on what players Chelsea need:

Roman Pavlyuchenko

Hiddink has said to Abramovich that he knows how to optimise the potential of Spurs’ Russian forward, Roman Pavlyuvhenko. Pavlychenko was one of the stars of the unexpectedly successful Russian team which reached the semi-finals of Euro 2008 under the guidance of Chelsea boss Hiddink. His form at the championships led to a £14 million transfer from Spartak Moscow to Tottenham, however he has failed to to justify his large transfer fee so far at Spurs. It is clear that the striker is not part of Harry Redknapp’s plans for the future of Tottenham, and Hiddink believes Chelsea could snap up a quality player for a very reasonable fee.

Yuri Zhirkov

It is believed that the versatile Russian is another target for Chelsea after a strong recommendation from Guus Hiddink. Another star of the Russian Euro 2008 side, Zhirkov is a skillful left-footer who normally plays in midfield, but can play as a forward, or in defense. He is nicknamed ‘The Russian Ronaldinho’ due to his trickery and audacity but as well as being an incredibly creative player, Zhirkov has great pace which he uses to slice defences to shreds. If Zhirkov were to join Chelsea, he would hopefully bring what Florent Malouda has failed to bring to the left wing since his signing from Lyon in July 2007.

Rafael Van der Vaart

Dutch superstar Rafael Van der Vaart has expressed interest in joining Chelsea this summer – if Hiddink stays. The Real Madrid midfielder is clearly unhappy with his current situation at the club and is not on best terms with his manager, Juande Ramos, and has said the following: “If my World Cup selection is threatened I must think about a transfer” after both his form and his number of games for Real Madrid have dropped recently. He would be an excellent acquisition for Chelsea and although only 26 years of age would add significant experience to the team, having earned 65 caps for the Netherlands.

Definately think an injection up front is needed, we rely too much on Drogba being in a good mood!

  6. Duffty Says:

great but i dont agree with pavlyuchenko

if you want pace on the left bring back arjen robben he and van der vaart play well together.

what kind of antispam word is barcelona that should be offensive to any chelsea fan

  7. Chelski666 Says:

No way should we sign Adebayor, he does not deserve a first team place and will just complain. He is like Drogba only without skill and strength and touch…
Pavlychenko only if he is available at the right price, because he would be a good reserve for Drogba, and capable of playing up front on his own more than Anelka.
we should keep anelka because he has proved he can play well on the right wing and is great as a second striker, and so is a good player, even if a reserve, in two positions.
we do need at least 1 winger though, but Malouda should be given another season – been good 2nd half of this one, and ballack has at least 1 good season left in hi – like scholes, good but won’t play all the games.
VdV would be good to play behind Drogba.

  8. lloyd Says:

im surprised people do not appreciate the quality and consistency of goals anelka has and continues to deliver upfront. he is possible golden boot for this season. i bet he is still got at least one good season in him yet people are so willing to offload him in the summer

south african pensioner-lover here!!! The Blues rock hard, focus on getting Robihno and Ferando Torres and we’re set to rock the whole world like know best

  13. Nanini Says:

I just love Chelsea too much to send just one message! Get Aguiro from Atletico Madrid please. I know its hard to take our advise like this but, sometimes you might find that the player we’d like you get has been interested in jioning the Blue side of london since they were born. Try getting a really good youngster like Guus Hindink suggested in the likes of The Russian Ronaldinho, use words other than money to get Robinho and then a striker who at least has loads of energy adn enthusiasm like Dirk Kuyt is for Liverpool..Maybe Ryan Babel may be interest in moving to Chelsea just to get back at Liverpool, he’s a good player you just cant let get away like that either, lastly before i make a noisence of myself ..GET CARLOS TEVEZ

hello im a dedicated chelsea fan through wins and losses, but my opinion is..
Out: Ballack-(Not Showed Enough Class), Deco-(He Plays Football Like Hes Shy), Stoch-(No Use To This Big Club), Mineiro-(Not Doesn’t Deserve His Name In Chelsea Fc),
Farreira-(Not Played Enough So No Use), Carvalho-(Gettig Old, Defenders Are Supposed To Be The Club, You Need Class, Pace Which Carvalho Doesn’t Have).

Loan: Mancienne-(Go And Get Some Experice, Has A Future), Anelka-(Adapted Well To The Right Wing, But Will He Show This For Another Club Or True Blue? Test), Kalou-(As Too He Is One To Be But More Experince),Drogba-( He Needs To Learn He’s Not Going To Get A Much Better Team Then Chelsea, If He Wants To Continue Then Sort Out The Attitude Towards Football)

In: Zhirkov-( He Is A Player He Is Willing To Work His Sock’s Off And That Is What Chelsea Need), Pato-(Very Much Class Player Has A Huge Future Ahead Of Him And If He Satys Under Acelotti ‘Who Created The Class He Has’ Hell Be Up There With Mess, Ronaldo As So Too Speak), ‘Also We Should Send A Few Scouts Out To Look For A Young Talented Defender’

Ambramovich Has Money But He Needs To Spend It Wisely Not On The Present Superstars, The Superstars Of The Future, Right Know Chelsea’s Sqaud Are Old But Class, So More Class Youngsters With Extrodinary Talent Such As ‘Pato’ The Better It Also Gives The Current Chelsea Squad A Chance To Show The Young Ones There Experience, And So On, But When They Retire And What Not, They Can Say ‘He Taught Him That, Look At Him Know’ So Thats My Input On This, Only If Chelsea Representatives Read This.

In my opinion, Chelsea FC should kick out Deco, Mineiro, Ferreira, Ivanovic, Hilario, Shevchenko, and Ballack. And transfer great players like: Aguero, Higuain, Pirlo, Pato, M. Richards, Adebayor, Bale, Forlan, Diego Capel, Gattuso, Yaya Toure, Milito, Chielini, Zhirkov, and Tevez.

  20. hari Says:

plz get sergio aguero and torres cus drogba nd balak giv us a bad name there asholes get van der vaart and simao and also david villa

  21. bullet Says:

there can be only one name at the top of the chelsea summer shopping list and that has to be Alexandre Pato. At the tender age of 19 the kid has already cemeneted himself as a regular for AC Milan, and with explosive pace, skill and an eye for goal surely he is the perfect partner up top for drogba. With the ancelotti connection surely its possible at a price? With his whole career ahead of him, i fully beleive he has the potential to become a west london legend.

  22. Pere Says:

the coach should get us more strikers, and that russian ronaldinho would be a good idea…..

  23. Martin Bronitz Says:
