Two Trialists Join Pre-Season Training

The Gillingham pre-season squad saw two new players today as manager Mark Stimson invited the duo to train with the club for pre-season.

One of which is the experienced striker Drewe Broughton, who is a free agent following his release from the recently promoted MK Dons.

29 year-old striker Broughton started his career at Norwich City, and has since appeared for 15 clubs, including some successful spells at Southend, Peterborough, Rushen and Diamonds, and Kidderminster.

The other is young defender Moses Swaibu, a 19 year-old central defender who is a product of the Crystal Palace Centre of Excellence for football.

Swaibu saw regular football last season, but it was limited to the reserve team of Crystal Palace, and following numerous unsuccessful attempts to break into the first team was released in May by Eagles manager Neil Warnock.

Both players are expected to train with Gillingham for the remainder of the week.
