Loan Deals for Flops

Throughout this January transfer window, Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho didn’t add a single player to the club’s books, but deadline day brought two exits.

Ricardo Quaresma joined Chelsea on loan until the end of the season, after just submitting the pertinent papers in time. The Portugese international was linked with Tottenham the whole day, but ended up joining Luis Filepe Scolari, the man was his boss for a spell with Portugal.

The winger has failed to impress after his big money move from Porto,¬†on deadline day last summer, and was recently booed by the Nezzuri fans. Quaresma also won the “Golden Bin” award for 2008, for the worst player in Serie A, but always impressed during his time at Porto.

Olivier Dacourt is another player heading to London until the end of the season, with the Frenchman joining Fulham. Dacourt has only played once under the new gaffer, and is seeminly past his best; reflected by the constant rumours surrounding his future. Many Premiership clubs were dubbed as his likely destination in the past month, but the midfielder moved to Craven Cottage.
