Mourinho Unhappy with Balotelli Attitude

Considered by many as one of the finest young talents on the European scene, if Mario Balotelli is to be made available for transfer, clubs would be lining up for his signature. To Inter Milan fans, he is the best player to come through the youth ranks in recent years, but for Jose Mourinho, there is no room for sentiment. Mourinho has been quite reluctant to play the 18-year-old this season, and has recently hit out at the striker for his poor attitued, and says it needs to change if he is to get his chance in this team.

“Mario is not indolent. He is a nice lad, but I don’t like what he is bringing to the team right now and how he works during the week. It is not laziness, but nor is it the right attitude for a young player who wants to make his mark,” he said.

“This is an important club and he has to change his approach, because there are so many talents here and a Coach has to be honest and give the chances to those who deserve them.”

mourinho hasn’t given Balotelli a lion’s share of first-team football, but club president, Massimo Moratti, has ruled out the sale of the Italian-declared striker.

He said: “I do not believe that Balotelli will be leaving Inter in January. I think that he must use his time with Jose Mourinho to learn tactics and how to play for a team and in a club like this.

“He can do this with our confidence because he has the talent, intelligence and character to become a great champion, but also great champions must pass through certain roads.”

Mario was left out of the squad completely when Inter hosted Cagliari on Saturday, and recent speculation sugests Mourinho may well be in the market for another striker this January.
