Wolfsburg Vs Man Utd Match Preview

Manchester United look to continued their winning ways tomorrow when they take on German Side Wolfsburg to determine who wins their group. A point for the English champions could win them the group despite already qualifying. But with Uniteds ever-increasing list of players on the treatment table Ferguson’s will have a though decision tomorrow night with only two recognised fit defenders travelled to Wolfsburg for the game.


The German champions, who have been in practically bad form of recent, have lost five out of their last six Bundesliga matches placed them eighth in the Bundesliga. ‘Die Wölfe’ (as they are known in Germany) still could get knocked out at the group stages of the Champions League if the Russian champions- CSKA Moscow achieve a better result than Wolfsburg tomorrow. Whereas, the English champions are riding high with eleven wins and only three loses and one draw in the Barclays’ Premier League placing them second just behind Chelsea. The Reds are firing on all cylinders in the league with three wins in three and eleven goals scored and only one conceded despite their injury concerns.

Team News

The Hosts are could be without Jonathan Santana, defender Alexander Madlung and midfielder Sebastien Schindzielorz as they are all doubts. Likewise, United are also without many of their first team players making Ferguson’s decision tomorrow night even harder. John O’Shea, Wes Brown, Fabio, Rafael, Gary Neville, Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Owen Hargreaves, Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov all didn’t travel due to injury. Ryan Giggs although not travelled will be fit for United’s home game as he is only playing one game a week. In Addition, Ferguson also stated that it will be an uphill struggle to get Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov and Wes Brown fit for Saturday’s home tie with Aston Villa. Sir Alex’s full squad consists of two goalkeepers, two defenders, thirteen midfielders and two strikers.
