Davis’ future remains unclear

Sean Davis, former Tottenham midfielder, admitted today that he doesn’t know which club he will be playing for next season.

The one-time England international has made a good to the season,  earning his place in the side, through fine performances against Manchester United and more recently, Everton.

Davis was heavily linked with a move to Scottish side, Celtic, during the summer transfer window. Although it was reported that the midfielder, wasn’t too keen to apply his trade in Scottish football.

The combative midfielder has currently put aside any speculation linking him with a move away from Fratton park, concentrating more on keeping his place in Redknapp’s starting eleven.

With only 12 months left on his contract however, Davis knows that talks regarding his future, need to take place sooner rather than later.

Davis told The News, “I must admit, I didn’t think I’d find myself in the team as soon as I did.

“I thought I was going to move on, but nothing happened and I’m happy to still be at Portsmouth.

“I love it down here. I love the training, the fans and the players are all quality. I am just happy to get my chance and prove myself again.

“I’m just trying to work hard and get a lot of games under my belt. We will see what happens in January.

“I only have a year left on my contract so I have to start thinking about what I am going to do in the future.”
