Treacy heads to Bramall Lane

Keith Treacy has joined Sheffield United on loan until the January transfer window, with the idea being he can get some first team action, to improve himself and be ready to play Premier Leauge football in 2010.

I don’t see him playing in the Premier League again though, I don’t think he is quite up to scratch and the idea may be for Rovers to try and get the lad some games where he can impress enough to find a buyer, which could turn out to be Sheffield United if he does well enough there.

Treacy in Carling Cup action last season

It will be interesting to hear the views of the Sheffield United blogsFC writers once Treacy has a few games under his belt for the blades.

Treacy managed twenty appearances for Blackburn last season, but only nine starts, he is also an Irish Under 21 international.

Good luck at Bramall Lane Keith.
