Diamonds snap up McDonald

Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Dean McDonald has joined Rushden and Diamonds on a one-year contract after leaving Inverness by mutual consent. Inverness signed McDonald from Gillingham last year but made only 7 substitute appearances. 22 year old McDonald started his career with Arsenal before joining Ipswich. He later had a brief loan spell with Hartlepool before subsequently joining Gillingham, where he scored 6 goals in 29 appearances.

Manager Garry Hill said,’ He has pace in abundance and can play either in wide positions or up front and will no doubt cause our oppositions problems on the park this coming season.’
