Montero, Sounders focusing on next game

Sorry for the late post. There’s been much hapening, but let’s start with the Wizards game.

We were still wondering what would happen to Montero, but all that mattered was that he took to the field. the usual guys took to the pitch, including captain Keller. However, he would soon have to pass the armband onto Ljungberg, because he was sent off for, what I think, a debatable hand ball out of the box. I’m not denying it, but I would fell much better if it was actually clear. To compensate, Le Toux was taken off, and as the commentators tried to understand why, I was quite surprised. He is a hard worker, after all, and he can defend pretty well, but whatever. Long story short, we STILL managed to dominate possession, Davy Arnaud struck another wondergoal (with Keller replacement Ben Dragavon feeling he should have done better from 30 yards out) against the run of play, and the game ended after some fruitless long balls, although we had 1 chance that I’d have expected Montero to finish. CLEARED! I had no doubt about it. We can get back to the games, as Montero wants. Let’s leave the sexual assault charges to the gridiron players.

Second, Chris Eylander has said he is fit, and ready to go against Chivas, and it will be a good test to see how well the USL goalkeeper can handle the MLS. Either way, he’s still going to be behind Keller, but it’s nice to get him some playing time, especially when he’s the goalie of the future.

One last thing, Heath Pearce has been sent down to the reserves by Hansa Rostock, and some people have linked him with a move to MLS, and in particular the Sounders (among other). I just don’t see it happening. We have Nathan Sturgis as well (in fact he was suppsoed to be the starter) so there’s be no use of Heath. So that one gets thorwn out the window. One team that will do anything for his services? The LA Galaxy.
