Goran not yet ready to feature

Teenage striker Goran Slavkovski has been told that he is not yet ready to be included in Sheffield United’s first team after signing on loan on New Year’s Day.

The striker was signed on a temporary deal by former manager Bryan Robson as part of the continued relationship between the two clubs, but Robson’s predecessor Kevin Blackwell doesn’t feel the 18-year-old is yet ready to play a part in the club’s Championship revival.

“He has lots to learn, but there is no doubt the kid has potential,” Blackwell said.

“He will play in the reserves and we’ll have a good look at him, but whether he becomes a world beater or egg beater I’m not too sure yet”

Slavkovski of course has already scored at Bramall Lane, for his parent club in a friendly against Sheffield FC.
