Stoke In Hunt For Ivorian Konan Ya

Sky Sports are reporting that Stoke and Middlesbrough are leading the chase for Rosenborg’s Ivorian forward Didier Konan Ya.

The 24 year old made the move to the Norweigan side from ASEC Abidjan in his homeland where he played alongside household names Kolo and Yaya Toure, Didier Drogba, Saloman Kalou, Didier Zokora and Emmanuel Eboue in youth teams. Konan Ya, who can also play as an attacking midfielder or on either wing made 77 appearances for ASEC scoring eighteen goals from 2003 to 2006 when he moved to the Norweigan side where he has played 31 league matches, scoring fifteen times.

The 5′8.5” player, who had an unsucessful trial at Charlton Athletic two years ago has played for Rosenborg in the Champions League and also has three caps for the Ivory Coast.
