2010 Qualifcation Update

As the 2010 World Cup approaches not many teams have qualified. In the Asia region only Australia, Japan, Korea DPR and Korea Republic. In the African section there are still 6 places left with no teams having qualified yet. In the Europe region many teams are struggling. Only Holland have qualified and there are still 12 places left. In the South American region no teams have qualfied. There are only 4 places and 10 teams are competing. In the Northern American region no teams have qualfied. But there are still 4 places up for grabs. The hosts South Africa automatically qualify. In the Asian/Oceania section there is still one place left. The game to decide this will be Bahrain vs Saudi Arabia. Whoever wins that will go on to face New Zealand for a place in the 2010 World Cup.

There are 8 host cities which include Cape Town and Johanessburg. Right now Fifa are creating a second step for ticket sales. In Johanessburg there are two stadiums. One which is named Ellis Park and the newer one Soccer City. Ellis Park was built in 1982 and has long history of sport. Meanwhile Soccer City will be where the final will be held.

Meanwhile back in the qualifiers the South American group is very close. At top it is Brazil with 27 points. In second it is Chile with 26 points. In 3r it is Paraguay with 24 points. Meanwhile Argentina in 4th might have to play a playoff with 5th placed team Ecaduor.

The playoff dates have been confirmed. In the Asia region Bahrain vs Saudi Arabia is on the 5th of September and the 9th. The Oceania will be New Zealand vs Winner on the 10th of October and on the 14th of November.

    world cup2010 in south africa will be great fun and i have to appreciate the management skills of south africa and people of their they love all types of games.. i have seen the spirit of people in IPL.. people really enjoy the games…
